Ingredients:
1 cup suji (semolina)
¼ cup sugar
½ cup milk
2 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp cashew (chopped)
½ tsp cardamom powder
¼ cup coconut (optional)
---
Method:
1. Prepare Batter
In a bowl, mix suji, sugar, milk, cardamom powder, and coconut (if using).
Stir well to make a thick batter. Rest for 10–15 minutes so the suji absorbs the liquid.
2. Add Cashews
Mix chopped cashews into the batter.
3. Cook the Toast
Heat ghee in a pan.
Pour the batter into a greased plate or tray and steam it for 15–20 minutes (like an idli or dhokla).
Once cooled, cut into rectangular fingers (toast shape).
4. Crisp It Up
Shallow fry or bake the suji toast fingers until golden and crisp on the edges.
5. Serve
Garnish with cashews on top.
Serve warm with a glass of milk or tea.
