Nariyal Barfi (Coconut Fudge)

๐Ÿฅฅ Nariyal Barfi (Coconut Fudge)

Ingredients

2 cups grated coconut (fresh or desiccated)

1 cup milk

1 cup sugar

1 tbsp ghee

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

Silver leaf & rose petals (for garnish)

Method

1. Prepare Pan: Grease a plate or tray with ghee and keep aside.

2. Cook Coconut & Milk: In a heavy-bottom pan, add grated coconut and milk. Cook on medium flame till the milk reduces.

3. Add Sugar & Ghee: Stir in the sugar and ghee. Cook until the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan.

4. Flavoring: Add cardamom powder and mix well.

5. Set the Barfi: Immediately transfer the mixture into the greased plate. Flatten evenly with a spatula.

6. Garnish: Place silver leaf (varak) and rose petals on top.

7. Cut & Serve: Once slightly cool, cut into squares and serve.
