How to Quickly Grow Rosemary from a Stem
Here's how to propagate rosemary from a cutting:
1. Preparing the Stem: Cut a 15-centimeter segment of a rosemary stem diagonally, removing the leaves at the base.
2. Soaking: Fill a glass with water and submerge the stem. Let it soak overnight.
3. Location: Place the glass with the plant near a window, in a relatively warm area of the house.
4. Adding Water: If the water evaporates during the process, add a small amount of room temperature water.
5. Root Formation: About a week later, the first roots will begin to form.
6. Transplanting: When the roots are well developed (approximately three weeks later), the rosemary will be ready to be planted in a pot with soil.
7. Prepare the Pot: Mix a little fertilizer with the soil, make a hole in the center, and insert the stem.
8. Water: During the first week, water every two or three days, keeping in mind that rosemary is sensitive to excess water.
Now you're ready to grow your rosemary from a stem, enjoying its benefits in the kitchen and beyond.
