Kerala Fish Curry


Ingredients

Fish (fleshy type) - 1/2 Kg
Coconut (small size) - 1 no
Kukum star(kudam pulli) - 4 pieces
Onion (small) - a handful
Garlic - 5 nos
Ginger - 50 gms
Green Chilly - 4 nos
Chilly powder - 4 tsp
Coriander powder - 7 tsp
Curry Leaves - a few
Oil - as reqd
Salt - as reqd



Method of Preparation

1)Heat oil in a pan add the scraped coconut, fry until coconut became dark brown.

2)Grind this mixture when it becomes cool and keep it aside.

3)In a kadayi (cheenachatti) put some water (so that fish can swim through)).

4)Add 2 tsp Chilly powder, 4 tsp coriander powder and salt in to the boiling water.

5)Add fish pieces and keep the flame low and cook for 20 minutes.

6)In a frying pan put some oil and when it become hot add the garlic ginger onion paste.

7)After 2 minutes, add curry leaves, green chilly, kukum star and cook for a few minutes.

8)Add the coconut paste to this.

9)Let oil sperate from the mixture then add to the coocked fish.
